I thought the Parks and Recreation season premiere was good but kind of by-the-numbers and safe. I guess that's pretty normal for a sitcom that works as far as sixth-season premieres go.

The NCIS premiere was a little inplausible, with the usual implausibility problem being, why would these superterrorists give much of a crap about little old NCIS agents, especially this one group of them when there are surely dozens of other teams? I'm sure it's just a conceit to set up Ziva's exit, and the preview clips pointing at the the wrapping up of Tiva aren't promising. Maybe some new blood on the team will bring some new life.

Thanks for letting me know. Watched a re-air. I think I'm sticking with this. In addition to Cho and Brown coming back from the dead, I like that it acknowledges the absurdity of itself. It's similar to Alcatraz, but better. And Orlando Jones is in it too.

10 minutes into episode 3 and I turned it off, deleted it and stopped the series recording. Just wasn't into it.

I caught up on my DVR tonight.

Parenthood continues to be the most heart-warming thing ever. Mae Whitman plays her rather challenging role as well as any supporting actress on TV right now. I just love the Bravermans as a whole. I feel all gooey and mushy after watching it. I'm very glad it's back, with a full season ordered for once.

Modern Family joined a short list of shows that I've given up on after more than two seasons of regular viewing. It's just not good anymore. The gay marriage/baby vomiting thing was so trite. The only bearable non-Dunphy is Jay, and he so regularly gets stuck in shitty plots with Sofia Vergara's tits and Manny, possibly the most obnoxious child actor ever.

Parks and Recreation met all expectations, which are very high. The League's weird one-off episode worked for me. And It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is having its best start to a season in several years.

    Watching Episode 2 of Hostages.

I'm intrigued, but I think I'm more pissed at myself for investing into it because now I don't know if I can quit. Too much of it is implausible. And while they're all wired so what they say and who they talk with is recorded, what's to stop the doctor from writing down on paper what's going on and giving it to the president or his wife or someone else?

And I also have sneaking suspicion that by the end of the season we'll have to think of Dylan McDermott as one of the good guys. I'm hooked, but I can't say I'm enjoying it just yet.

Saw the second epsiode of The Blacklist last night. I thought one key plot point was telegraphed, which left me wondering how this concept will work long term, but I did enjoy it overall.

Hoping to catch the second eps of Hostages and The Blacklist tonight. Really enjoyed both pilots.

I gave up on The League after this season's pilot. It's just become too absurd.

Also, Arrested Development? Did you mean It's Always Sunny?

I loved the most recent episode of The League. An episode like that once a season is cool with me.

I watched the first episode of Hostages last night and thought it was really good... I haven't seen Blacklisted yet.

I saw the first episode of Masters of Sex, which is really well done and interesting.

UVerse flipped the FXX channel on me last week from the old Fox Soccer Channel number...so I didn't see it and didn't realize I didn't see it until last night. Probably not a good sign for the show when I don't care that I missed an episode.
