I admit I don't watch these shows with a great deal of concentration. Example: Saw references to "Mare of Easttown" and I have no idea what happened in that show. I watched it. I kinda remember her being a divorced cop, but I don't remember any plots -- probably because I watched it just after "Fargo" and they might have been kinda similar. That said, please explain the bolded above.

I didn't want to spoil the ending. I was referring to the scene with Decker on her deathbed. Rory is there, where is Trixie? I just found it distracting that one of her daughters would be absent from that scene.

I read your post yesterday and watched the finale last night, trying to account for everybody. I think there was one scene at the end with a birthday cake or something. But I see your point.

One guy had to go home to pick up his kids in the morning. The other guy had to go to Bangor Maine to kill himself. Another masterful 22-minute feature film of an episode. Doug Stanhope nailed it.

Watched the first episode of Y: The Last Man on Hulu last night. Did enough to make me want to come back for the second episode, so we shall see.

Purely because I loved the comic, I am watching Y ... my wife couldn't sleep and came in during the end of episode 2 and watched all of 3 and now is going back to watch the first 2. So she got sucked in.
Funny how she always likes my shows that I watch while I rarely pick up what she watches. LOL

On the DVR. The original spoke to me in so many ways. Looking forward to getting into this one.

Odd ending to Nine Perfect Strangers. Like, they tried to go where the book did...about two episodes too late. Way too much focus on the Marconis, they botched the entire point of Carmel's story (where she finds out how to have inner peace with her husband remarrying - and she even, post-spa, becomes friends with the second wife), and they obliterated Ben & Jessica's storyline.

Mainly, I just don't think, and never thought, this was a book that would translate well to a TV show. The best parts of the book were hearing the inner thoughts and fears of each character (each chapter was narrated by someone different), which are the parts left unspoken.

Between Nine Perfect Strangers and The White Lotus, my desire to go to an all-inclusive resort anytime soon has pretty much evaporated.

I bailed about 10 minutes in to the fifth episode (I think), no regrets.
