Well, it was probably not a good sign when you decided before last night not to set it to record.

    Yes, I do. Thanks.

The League has been over the edge basically since the second season. It's pretty clear they're not living in our time/space dimension. But if you look at it purely as a laugh vehicle, it works.

Too much gross-out humor for my taste, otherwise I'd still watch it.

I just don't find the humor they're doing nearly as funny as it used to be.

I agree on It's Always Sunny being better than it has been in a while.

The League wouldn't even be on my 10 favorite shows going right now, but it's good enough to merit the watch.

Because I've picked up a few shows and dropped a few since the last time I made this list, here's what I'm watching among still-airing shows, by personal preference:

    1. Mad Men
    2. Louie (Yes, it's on an extended hiatus, but it still exists and still will be airing episodes next year, so it counts.)
    3. Parks and Recreation
    4. Parenthood
    5. Veep
    6. The Americans
    7. How I Met Your Mother (I'm geeked for this final season, so it's a few spots higher than the quality might demand.)
    8. South Park
    9. Community (Dan Harmon's return has me excited.)
    10. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (This show would have been last on the list a month ago, but I've been very pleasantly surprised.)
    11. Family Tree
    12. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
    13. The League
    14. Curb Your Enthusiasm
    15. The Walking Dead

I dropped Modern Family, and Breaking Bad is done. Neither Family Tree nor Curb Your Enthusiasm has been brought back officially yet. I'd be fine either way on Curb but think Family Tree deserves another season.

After about two minutes thinking about it, here's my top 10 favorite shows going right now...

    1. Homeland
    2. Eastbound and Down
    3. The Good Wife
    4. Sons of Anarchy
    5. Criminal Minds
    6. The Newsroom
    7. Sunny in Philly
    8. Louie
    9. Veep
    10. The League

Just missed the cut: Walking Dead, Modern Family, Bar Rescue, Raising Hope, Ray Donovan

I enjoyed the most recent episode of The League, and was actually just a little bit shocked and sad at the way it ended.

Always Sunny must be using PED's because a show isn't supposed to suddenly get that good again at that age. The take down of the Emmy's was fantastic.

I really should watch Eastbound and Down.

Welp. Forgot about Duck Dynasty. That's a top 10 show for me. There's probably two or three others I forgot about, too.

Edit: Like Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Arrested Development.

    Top 10 lists are ass.

Ranking the shows I watch by personal preference, and what I look forward to the most:

    1. Doctor Who
    2. Sherlock
    3. Veep
    4. Orange is the New Black
    5. Louie
    6. Fresh Meat
    7. Boardwalk Empire
    8. Mad Men (would have been a top 3 pick until very recently, but now I've decided I'm ready for it to be done)
    9. Parks and Rec (still really like it, but it's getting close to the point where it's been on too long)
    10. Justified

Not making the top 10: Archer, Homeland (if it doesn't improve this season, I'll probably stop watching), Always Sunny, Game of Thrones, Broadchurch, Wallander, and New Girl.

Shows that I watched up until their new seasons, but have mostly given up on - Modern Family, Downton Abbey, and The League.

Show I've watched two seasons of and doubt I'll do its third season or beyond - Walking Dead.

If they hadn't recently finished, Breaking Bad would have been my number one, and Luther would have likely been a top 5 pick.

I was really late to the party on that one, but I love that show.

I finally watched the Parks and Rec season premiere. That was some serious quality. I hope that show stays around for another five years even if it loses a few cast members.

Community lost me last season, but I'll check it out again now that Dan Harmon is back.

Modern Family is a tough one... I still think it's good, although not as good as it once was. It seems very crowded lately. I agree that Manny is the most annoying person on the show.

The Homeland season premiere was good, not great, but that was to be expected.

Yeah, Modern Family is a decent sitcom, but the fact that it wins Emmy's over a whole bunch of truly excellent shows is a joke.
