I just find that they give way too much screen time to people who almost never make me laugh. I never liked Cameron, though, and I know others would say he's the best character on the show.

The show is called Modern Family, but after the first season or so they've struggled to write good stories for all the branches of the family except the traditional one.

I think part of the problem has been that the only kid who had a significant role in the first two seasons, was Manny. That's changed quite a bit since then. But we already have three different sets of adults who need storylines so when any of the kids have a part as little more than background, it gets very crowded and the show suffers as a result.

It will be interesting as we get to the point of contract negotiations when I'm guessing they'll let a few of the kids walk away, or only be used in a few episodes a season. This show could very easily go on for another 5-6 seasons and if that's the case, I think both Dunphy daughters will be the first two to lose screen time.

Don't sleep on Walking Dead. Season 3 picked up the pace, but if all you were watching for is zombies, then yeah, you can quite, because it's going to focus on drama with zombies, not a zombie drama.

    I'm down to ...
    Supernatural
    Raw/SmackDown
    Doctor Who
    The Walking Dead

I checked out SHIELD and Michael J Fox. Yawn. That's fine. I watch enough TV as it is.

And yes, if you watch Walking Dead just for zombies, you're missing the point of the show. Zombies are just a plot device. In Revolution, it was a power outage. Same premise: the end of modern civilization and learning a new way to live.

Yes, but the show doesn't do very well in creating deep characters. The zombies and action scenes are the best ones, the standout moments, for a reason. The Walking Dead is not as smart as it pretends to be.

Then again, few of us are.

I'm not one of those viewers that needs every show to be "smart." Shit, I watch wrestling, so that ought to tell you something ...

But my point is that The Walking Dead would be better if it had more action since it doesn't do the slow episodes very well. Season 3 certainly outperformed Season 2 in that regard, though, and maybe the cast and showrunner changes will improve things.

The bulk of the middle of Season 2, the time spent aimlessly exploring the farm, was not good. I seriously weighed giving up on the show entirely.

    Let's see.

Monday: How I Met Your Mother, Mom, The Blacklist, The Following (when it returns).

Tuesday: Sons of Anarchy, The Goldbergs, Trophy Wife, New Girl.

Wednesday: Nashville, The Americans (when it returns), The Middle, Suburgatory (when it returns), It's Always Sunny.

Thursday: Parks and Rec, Big Bang Theory, The Millers, Grey's, Scandal.

    Friday: Blue Bloods.

Sunday: Revenge, Mad Men (when it returns), The Good Wife.

Out of that, the cream, the must-see TV, is The Good Wife, Scandal, The Americans and Mad Men.

Geez, Tuesday nights are really a strain right now. Trying to give Dads a chance but still have last week's and tonight's in the tuner. Person of Interest and NCIS are must-watch for me right now, and I'm trying to give The Goldbergs a chance. So there's 3 1/2 hours already. Then, the Main Event of the WSOP trumps them all, so now I'm up to five hours. And tonight, they all took a back seat to watching the Pirates-Reds Wildcard game. So now I'm just starting with the WSOP.

I hope there's nothing on tomorrow ... but, of course, there's another Wildcard game and Modern Family, which despite all you guys carping is still damn good.
