They certainly did turn him from heel into hero, didn't they.

 

Historically, I've always thought that the worst episodes are the "ripped from the headlines" one. And unfortunately, I think this whole season has been nothing but that, made worse by the show's long hiatus, which has also resulted in "ripped from the headlined 3 to 5 years ago" too.

 

Every actor seems to be worse than the one they replaced. Except for Anthony Anderson.

 

The best L&Os were the "ripped from the headlines" ones that either went in a totally different direction, or the cases that started "small" that ended up bringing down some power broker. You'd watch the end of an episode and wonder "how did it end up here after that opening?"

 

Speaking of questionable NBC decisions... Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey have a new book out about their time on "The Office." The big reveal making the rounds now is that NBC wanted them to do *another* two years, for a total of 11 seasons:

The show had to end, but I’ll bet the cast misses those paydays. It’s always seems like some supporting actors can’t find another solid gig.

 

He lost last week. Guy who killed some tech CEO was found not guilty.

 

My assessment stands. It’s David E. Kelly but not in a good way and why does Mickey Heller have no charisma and a Mexican accent? So disappointing!

 

New Kids in The Hall episodes on Amazon are pretty solid. Like all sketch comedy it’s hit and miss, but worth watching so far.

 

Coming on Hulu. Looks like fun. Emma Thompson.
