I thought I'd read where the Mindy Project was strongest of the rapidly failing-in-ratings Fox comedy block on Tuesdays. All have had double-digit drops in viewers each of the last two weeks, but Mindy's haven't dropped as much as the others. Figured Brooklyn 9-9 or whatever it's called would be among first to go (dropping the most viewers weekly of the bunch), but, meh, it's on Fox, so the stakes aren't as high.

 

What television shows exist without eye candy?

 

Mike and Molly?

 

Katy Mixon's breasts qualify.

 

I'm a woman. That's not eye candy for me. Not that I watch "Mike and Molly." I don't remember any in "Breaking Bad."

 

Surely Aaron Paul qualifies as eye candy for women, at least to some degree. Anna Gunn count for men, provided she wasn't being too bitchy or broken in a given scene. So Anna Gunn almost never counted. Betsy Brandt had the MILF thing to a degree, though.

And Bob Odenkirk is sexual healing for all.

 

Mindy is still a mess at times and isn't close to being a cohesive show, but there are at least 5 lines each week which really make me laugh. The Casey storyline was doomed and I don't know why they stuck with it past a two episode arc last year.

New Girl hit a nice stride last year, but it seems tired already. Pairing Jess off with Nick was not a smart move for the show.

 

Betsy Brandt has the MILF thing going, but it's a frazzled, high-maintenance MILF.

 

Laura Fraser > Betsy Brandt > Early-seasons Anna Gunn > Krysten Ritter > Late-seasons Anna Gunn.

 

I would tend to agree with that.

 

Real-life Anna Gunn is hotter than any of them. And actually if you go back to the first half of Season 5, Gunn looked really good before her world collapsed. Emily Rios probably ranks last.

 

The Millers is awful.

Will Arnett should have his own show, but this definitely is not it.
