A lot of people like Jason Ritter, like the connection with his dad, like his face. I generally like him, in fact. But he has never generated any heat at all with that character.

Not a surprise. It was the kind of show where you could see the entire series play out from the pilot and there was no hook.

I really don't think Mark Cyr is coming back this season. Maybe some time down the line.

I actually really liked the second episode. Mae Whitman is incredible in even really difficult plots. The addition of Jurnee Smollett is awesome. I like pretty much every plot thread, even Sarah's. Dax Shepard is getting to show his acting chops more each season.

Speaking of him, Kristen Bell is my favorite actress. She was so perfect on Parks and Recreation.

It's no fun when the entire planet can see an ad for a show and immediately know, "That's not lasting a month."

It sounds like it may be a contest between Dads and Mom to see which happens first, Fox pissing off Seth MacFarlane, or CBS pissing off Chuck Lorre.

Ahhhhhhh. I had been racking my brain trying to remember where I'd seen her before. Now I know ... in another show with Matt Lauria.

Noticed a lot of CBS-ness during the pilot of Masters of Sex on Showtime. The parents from The Millers are in both, as is the woman from Mom. And probably another one or two I didn't notice.

Any NCIS watchers on here? I was glad to see Ziva didn't get a bullet between the eyes like her predecessor did.

Totally agree. Would be a little cliched to always kill off the character every time the actor decides to move on.

She's terrific, by far the best actress of the students on Friday Night Lights. I liked most of the actors from Season 4 and 5 more than the stars of the first three, and I'm glad Jason Katims has brought back all three East Dillon student stars for roles in Parenthood.

But we obviously need some Dallas Tinker.

I'll bet she comes back at some point. It's got to be a little strange to be on a show that in its 11th season that looks like it could go another 11. If CBS is smart, it will make sure this show stays on indefinitely.

I'm sorry. I must have missed Hastings Ruckle's Parenthood arc.

I wondered (and almost put in my previous post) if the Camaro was indeed Danno's. I thought that might be the case, but it seemed like he never drove it while Steve drove the Camaro and sometimes his Silverado.
They did indeed have a new Camaro ZL1 for Steve to drive last week. Don't believe Catherine was driving a car.
