I think you mean the bonus episode, which was apparently released after the first 10.

Agreed. It just reminded me that the next book I read needs to be something by Gaiman. I'm long overdue reading American Gods, so that will probably be it.

There's a nice thing happening on Trying (Apple TV) with one of the married couples, Scott and Karen.

@outofplace He's a great storyteller. It's interesting to read your take since you never read the source material.

Babies and kittens and archetypes, oh my! When I first read The Sound of Her Wings, the scene with the baby seemed longer. It's maybe three panels in the book. In truth, it's the impact that stretches it out. A reader of the comic either allows it to sink in, or they gloss over it. This part of the narrative is the visual storytelling equivalent to the last note of The Beatles' A Day in the Life. I knew it was coming, so I didn't have the same visceral response. It still had an impact.

Dream of a Thousand Cats is a lovely piece of storytelling. The etiological tale from a cat's perspective is an interesting exercise in creating what I call Fakelore. Gaiman did it well. Still, animal abuse makes me ill. The scene with the kittens was horrific and I had to stop the stream and breathe. The words from the mother cat hit me harder though. As far as standalone stories go, I'm looking forward to Ramadan.

Love Industry on HBO. Did not expect (or really need to see) the fucking Pornhub moment in S2E4 with Harper and DVD. Like, 100 percent unnecessary. No idea what they were thinking by including that. #IYKYK

After many telling me I would love "The Boys" on Prime, I watched the first two episodes. They were right. I'm hooked.

I knew nothing of it, other than it was an offbeat superhero series. Absolutely love the concept now that I've seen a bit of it.

Last night I interrupted my daughter's binge-watching of shows on her laptop to chat a bit. I noticed Jack Quaid and Laz Alonso on her screen. I had been telling her about the show since the first season, but she never wanted to watch it. Of course, I asked her about it. She told me she had just started watching it and was on the third episode of Season 1. She said she didn't think I'd watch it. Turns out, her boyfriend is a fan and got her to start. She may have forgotten me telling her about the show, but no way she thought I wouldn't like it. At least she was lying to spare my feelings. Gotta love teenagers. o_O

Anyway, she told me she can only watch so much of it because some parts of the show are really disturbing. Robin's fate was the example she gave. I told her what I will tell you. It gets worse, but it's so good.

Watching Bad Sisters on Apple TV+. Created by the female star of Catastrophe -- pretty good 2 episodes in.

    Offbeat. Lol

That’s like saying there’s a few McDonalds restaurants.

This is touched on a bit in the soccer thread, but Welcome to Wrexham on FX is entertaining. It follows Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and the low-level Wales soccer club they purchased.

It’s as much about their journey, the town and its residents as it is about soccer.
