Ha, wow - I wasn't expecting to click and to get 35 results! They go pretty deep. Couple of thoughts on the shows on the list...

    - "Single Parents" was fun, like a solid B, B+ every episode. Probably hurt by the lack of a signature "star" to build around, since the biggest names were Leeighton Meester and Taran Killem. Yet another solid ABC ensemble sitcom, a la "Happy Endings," "The Goldbergs," etc.

    - "Castle Rock" S1 is very good, S2 just kind of drags. The write-up mentions The Queen, which is a stellar episode.

    - "I'm Sorry" (25) deserves to be higher. If you're expecting a standard sitcom, it pretty much hits you hard in the crotch right away. Write-up compares it to a female led "Curb," which is a pretty good comparison, since there are small appearances from comedy folks like Zouks and Scotty Auckerman.

    - "Galavant," a musical comedy that (eventually) was led by Timothy Omundson, was all over the place in its two seasons, but great fun.

    - "Mindhunter" (18) should also probably be in the Top 10, although Fincher wants to revive it at some point. It also ends on a cliffhanger of sorts. Still, the two seasons of the show are tense and different.

    - "Great News" at 11 seems way too high. It's a very low wattage Tina Fey show, as compared to "30 Rock," "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and "Girls5eva." Most of the Top 10 shows is solid, though.

    - Biggest omission to me: "Jericho," but it was kind of, sort of a two-season show. The premise of the show is that the U.S. is threatened with a nuclear bomb... but it actually goes off, and most of the first season is about society rebuilding itself. Season two only got a small renewal before being cancelled, but the show continued as a comic book for seasons three and four.

And all that being said, I'll stump for my favorite one-season show right now - "Terriers." Starring Donal Logue and Michael Raymond as low wattage private detectives, it's kind of a 2000s take on a noir like "Chinatown."

If you liked Terriers, Lodge 49 has a similar vibe. Good call on Jericho.

LOVED "I'm Sorry." I have written here about that show. Might be time for a re-watch.

"The Mick" was a lot of fun. Enjoyed "Great News" a lot. Because "Party Down" is getting another season apparently, so that can't be on this list, otherwise it should be top 5.

"Flight of the Conchords" is another one of my favorites.

We've started "Five Days at Memorial" on Apple. Story of what happened in a New Orleans hospital during the five days immediately after Hurricane Katrina. It's well done. And brutal to watch. And infuriating.

I’m revisiting Sports Night because of that list. The episode “The Apology” is as great now as it was then.

Any thoughts on City on a Hill?

I just finished up season 2 of True Detective and either going with City or Succession.
