Pompeo was really good in Moonlight Mile. I think it was the only thing I had seen her in before Grey's was on.

Not sure if I missed this on here, but We Are Men was canceled.

Tony Shalhoub sure deserved better than that pablum.

And if I see Jerry O'Connell again, it will be way too soon.

    I like O'Connell, but only as a talk-show guest.

We tried the new 'American Horror Story.' Still does nothing for me, and I'm not giving it as many chances as I did in season 1.

I'm still recording 'SHIELD' and 'Sleepy Hollow,' but only so I have something to watch when there's absolutely nothing else.
The same reason I still record 'SNL.'

Anybody catch the Cheers mini-reunion on CSI last week? Ratzenberger guested and had several scenes with Danson.

Of course, as soon as Ratzenberger's name popped up on the credits at the start of the show I figured (SPOILER ALERT!!!) he was the bad guy. Any time they bring in a name guest, they usually are.

Pretty much the case in every show and movie. When you have a notable actor, even character actor, who seems to have too puny of a role, that's a sure tell that the person will wind up being the villain, culprit, perp, whatever. First time I really noticed it ...

    *SPOILER ALERT*

... was "Sea of Love," Pacino movie in which Michael Rooker had what would have been an improbably small part if he hadn't turned out to be the bad guy.

This is particularly true on Law & Order: SVU

They've had great villain performances by Matthew Modine, Martin Short, Henry Winkler and Robin Williams, to name a few off the top of my head.

EDIT: Add Andrew McCarthy to the list, too.

Kinda funny, my wife and I just finished watching Brooklyn 9-9, which might be hitting its stride, by the way.

Andy Richter had a brief cameo and when the show ended my wife SPOILER ALERT was shocked he wasn't the murderer.

Was it one of his identical quintuplet brothers? Rocky is the cantankerous sort.
