Tulsa King just gets dumber and dumber and more watchable.

Finally watched the Ray Donovan Finale movie - it hit just about every trope these finales have, a shrink helping the lead figure things out (played by Alan Alda, who famously used the same trope in the MASH finale), disclosures of the past, redemption and retribution. The show really went downhill when it decided the family was the interesting part, rather than the Hollywood fixer angle. They were all idiots. It's only 90 minutes or so, but the movie feels longer due to prolonged "mourning" by a family who really seemed pretty good at brushing off death over the years.
    Yeah, not a fan.

The Penguin was pretty disappointing. Milioti was great as always and Farrell fine if one note. Always good to see Francois Chau....but very dull and with too many flashbacks.

Binged all eight episodes of Ted Danson’s Man on the Inside on Netflix and really enjoyed it. It’s a good mix of comedy and the feels. More great stuff from Mike Schurr. And lots of drop ins from actors from his previous shows.

A Man On The Inside has more heart than hilarity

Inside man is really good. It has Good Place vibes in that it’s funny but also has heart. I loved when Ted Danson is declaring someone to be a suspect only to see the announcement of her death and he had to amend his memo.

The Sympathizer is worth watching because of Robert Downey Jr. being awesome playing four different roles (CIA agent, professor, congressman and Coppola-like Vietnam War movie director). The lead actor is good too, but Sandra Oh is underutilized.

David Duchovny and John Cho have fun supporting roles. Marred by a pretentious finale.

Anybody watch "The Young Ones" on MTV? It played on Sunday night around 11 pm. I had to sneak out of bed to watch it with my brother.

The episode in which they go on a trivia show is hilarious.

I watched "The Young Ones" back in the day. The only one I remember is the episode where they all took a bath — in the same water.

It makes sense that Shrinking and Ted Lasso would share some strengths and weaknesses given that they share the creative influences of Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein. Both shows do go way over the top sometimes and I get that will turn off some viewers, but I think it works.

I remember right after "The Young Ones," they tried to make Rik Mayall a movie star with "Drop Dead Fred," opposite Phoebe Cates. Mixed results.

"The Young Ones" was some weird, crazy stuff.

The one I remember is they are so dirty and gross, their washing machine refuses to accept their clothes. Ultimately, they trick the machine into thinking the young ones are dropping in the undies of an attractive actress instead of their clothes.

Very true about Drop Dead Fred, assuming by “mixed results” you meant “fantastic” to “fucking fantastic.”
