Reboot was very entertaining. Always loved Judy Greer and thought KMK would have been a bigger star. Too bad it canceled.
That show had so much story to tell. Obviously the kid on it would have been "cancelled" for something. We missed out on seeing the press junkets, the first reviews and ratings after it aired, I mean even if they could have just jammed it all into a second season and ended it with a cancellation of "Step On Up" but the producers were going to shop it to other platforms.... it would have been more satisfying.
Watching the first ep right now, and yes. Spoiler I'm not even sure it's a spoiler. I think sometimes Sterling K. Brown's acting is heavy to the point of overkill. But his monologue at the end of E01 sent chills up my spine.
We binged Get Millie Black. It was really good in spots and extremely convoluted in others. All and all, we liked it but I’m not sure I’m rushing to see another season.
Created by Dan Fogelman who gave us This Is Us, and starring Sterling K. Brown from the same show. Paradise uses a few of the same tricks, which is not a bad thing. I'll watch anything with Julianne Nicholson. She has a face with view. And as we witness Trump and the South African billionaires destroy in real time, I wonder where they've built their city under a Colorado mountain. Joking but not.
Not sure where Severance is going and I fear they might try to get too cute and convoluted way too fast but I’ll keep watching.
I realize I am WAY LATE on Season 5 of The Crown, but damn - I don't get the critics. Sure, there must be some "stretches" that make the Royals look worse than they are, but I gather there were just as many that made them look better than they were as well during the dissolution phase of the Wales marriage. Such a well structured season with the Brittania being the "motif" for the monarchy itself, Jonathan Pryce was amazing as Phillip and while Imelda Staunton had the unenviable task of following Olivia Coleman as Elizabeth, I thought she more than held her own. Didn't realize that was Dominic West's kid played William. The kid's scenes with "Granny" were a highlight.
Spoiler: Episode 3 talk I thought the interplay between Dylan G's innie and his outie wife was fascinating. Also, Miss Wong might be as evil as anyone at Lumon. They're setting up the pieces. Seems like a slow burn start to the season.
