Not really. I kept feeling like it was cringe humor Seinfeld UK. Mostly because of the weird neighbor Dan.

Anyone catch Spoils of Babylon? Great cast. Funny in spots. Probably not as funny as it thought it was.

That surprises me. The whole deliberate pacing of the show has been done in a way that left them free to stretch this show out forever if they wanted to. Part of the reason (SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT) they didn't kill Dr. Narcisse was to get away from the "big bad guy dies at the end of the year" way these shows generally play out. Which is nice, but if the whole show ends the next year, I'm not really sure I see the point. I think this is a money move. To make it as an elite show on cable, you have to be really, really good and/or draw a lot of people (in cable terms) willing to pay premium prices for your show or, on basic cable, fight the cable company to keep them from dropping you. And Boardwalk never really got great, and never really got that popular.

They worked awfully hard and dented a lot of high-rent resumes to deliver about four good laughs in two half-hour segments. They might have been so intent in accurately spoofing the genre that they lost some of their humor.

Wish they were all still around for a reunion.

I imagine with the sets and costumes, the show is ridiculously expensive to produce.

I want to hold Amber Holt and make all of her problems go away, though I admittedly am not as good looking as Luke Cafferty.

ABC has really been whiffing a lot lately. Even when they bunt with programming like this.
