ABC has enough going right that it can afford to.

When ABC knows our wives will tune in for garbage like The Bachelor, why bother with scripted shows?

Sure wish I was still on holiday in the UK as the series 3 finale of Sherlock starts there in 20 minutes.

From "Dick in a Box" to Golden Globe winner. That's a rise for Andy Samberg.

Don't know; Dick in A Box was probably more of an artistic success.

Anyway, "Brooklyn" only started to improve when it became more of an ensemble show.

    Puzzling winner there.

Leto's deserved victory makes him quite the dual-genre superstar, I'd say.

For me, he misses the podium among the 4 male actors on that show. Unreal that he wins that award.

I'm not sure what the Hollywood Foreign Press sees in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It's an okay show. I occasionally chortle. It also can sit on my DVR for several days before I get around to watching it.

I see DiCaprio and McConeaghy (?) turned their award vehicles into awards.

"True Detective" looks like it's going to be a winner. McConaughey nails the tortured bloodhound detective archetype that every crime-scene show strives to pull off but rarely does, and Harrelson seems like he's channeling his "No Country For Old Men" character, only with a little more of a moral compass.

And for fans of "The Wire," the guys who played both Lester Freamon and Brother Mouzone show up (and it looks like Mouzone will be a regular).

It's pretty cool that McConaughey and Harrelson have turned into such great actors. I'll be watching True Detective soon. It sounds awesome.
