Her only duty is high schools. They have an assistant, who isn't listed on the contact, who handles the pros and colleges

So when are we going to hear a winner for this job?

Is Jewel Walston a finalist here?

From what's been reported here, she's to interview, if she hasn't already.

I don't know how true this is but rumor has it from a couple of sources that a mole on the staff who was putting info about the job on this site might have gotten the axe.

That would be shocking and yet not very surprising. If said mole was stupid enough to post confidental details on a work computer, he should be fired for second-degree fail. Unless he was already thinking about retiring and said "fuck it, I'll go out with a bang", and there's people there who fit that bill.

    God love the interwebs.

  7. SportsJournalists.com has our own mole now? Paid informants? Wow, Webby's really putting those dues to good use!

    I've heard the same.

    That's a shame, if true.

It should be obvious: Don't post that type of stuff on work computers!!! You can be tracked easily.

  10. Especially if it was from him work computer ... how tragically sad and funny would that be?

I never post on this board at work. But even if the person in question posted that stuff at home, it probably wouldn't be hard to figure out the person's identity.

It just wasn't very smart, plus they made an assertion about somebody that was not only out of line, it wasn't true. If this is typical of the way this person thinks, I wouldn't want to be caught arguing with my wife in front of that person because they'd likely jump to the conclusion that I was headed for divorce court!

From Slappy's pipeline -- leaky as a sieve, but usually dead-on, at least some of the time.

Colleen McDaniel from Rocky Mountain News will be new sports editor of Norfolk paper. Congrats on the new gig, dig?/
