I thought this was a pretty cool turn. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. Makes some sense for someone to try something like this with what we've seen in the past, even though it's pretty revolting.

I didn't realize they bumped the issue up a week to Oct. 1 and now another now comes out on Oct. 22. It felt short, but I like how they basically only had three scenes to the book. Simple, clean and a hook. Well done issue.

Was that supposed to be Negan in that scene set from Terminus in the past? The look and attitude seemed right.

So much for that idea. Kirkman tweeted that it wasn't Negan who tossed Mary back into the box care and belted Gareth, both of whom were his group's prisoners. It was the guy who had been imprisoned alone in another box care, the crazy one Rick, Glenn, Daryl and Bob set free only to have a walker take him down.

Yeah, they mentioned it on The Talking Dead after the show, too. My son and I were wondering the same thing right after the show, though.

Damn! I wanted it to be Negan.

So did I. When I thought it was him, I considered it a cool first appearance.

I guess they really were fucking with the wrong people.

Went down a little differently than the comics, but just as brutal. I kinda wonder how close they're going to keep to the original this season.

Scott Gimple used the term "weaving in and out of the comic" to explain the season on Talking...so my guess is we may see:
    - Maggie try to kill herself
    - The walkie-talkie that doesn't work and Abraham attack Eugene
    - Aaron will show up at the mid-season finale
    - 2nd half of season will bring in the Safe Zone...Negan shows up in finale

I'm gonna be so pissed all over again when Glenn dies. Hope that gets put off until next year at least.
