Talk radio show host said on the way in:

I kept waiting for them to re open the door and throw Herschel's leg to the walkers to get them away from the door.

I clicked on this thread thinking it might be about Gene Chizik and Derek Dooley.

You can substitute Andy Reid and Michael Vick

I thought the bite caused the nasty infection, which kills the victim fairly quickly. Like the guy they left at the side of the road in the first season.

Hershel does seem to be playing the role that Dale played in the comic in some ways.

I'm just thinking logically here. If a bite causes an infection which kills you by infesting your brain, blowing your synapses and shutting down your organs (As Jenner explained it), then wouldn't a bite immediately spread (at least partially) throughout a person's blood stream the moment it happens?

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but I would venture a guess that if you get bit, in the normal course of bloodflow, the infection cells are going to quickly make your way through your body. Unless those cells need time to bond with your regular red blood cells? I don't know. I just feel like it's a bit of a cheap trick plot-wise.

Though I do look forward to Herschel limping around the prison like the pirate character in Family Guy. :)

    Pretty sure Herschel's worm food.

Highly doubtful. Unless they introduce some new character that can deliver Lori's baby, I don't see him going anywhere anytime soon.

Well, yeah, in that case I'm pretty sure EVERYONE is worm food.

Great final scene to last night's episode...taken straight from the book:

Thought about that too but I think the guy from season one had a much larger wound. I thought he was bleeding out. Could be wrong though.
