"Reality" shows.

I don't know anything about any of them. There's nothing"real" about them. It's behavior altered by the fact that a camera happens to conspicuously be there. Then manipulated by editing. The scary thing is that with camera phones and camera cameras and camera this and that everywhere, an increasingly high percentage of behavior is subject to camera scrutiny, perhaps having a profound effect on what is considered "normal" behavior. I shudder at the prospect.

 

Yeah, we must be lost brothers. Funny thing. I had to go out for the rest of the day, and I had that exact thought as I was pulling out of my driveway. I thought, "Damn, I forgot about famous people from the latest crappy sitcome sitting in the stands, waiting for that cheap plug."

Newspaper editorials of all newspapers. A waste of space to make publishers feel like deep thinkers instead of garden-variety businessmen and/or rich shits.
The baseball draft, or at least the attempt by seamheads to make it as big a deal as the NFL draft.
News reports on the price of gas. Hey, gang, we can get in our cars and drive less than a mile and find out what the price of gas is by looking at goddamn gas stations.
Mixed martial arts. I've tried, but I just don't care for it. Too much grappling.
