A few weeks ago I parked a bit further out and was walking toward the store when I saw one of these people. She was waiting for someone to pack up and pull out -- when the spot next to the person was open. I pointed it out to her and she got kind of a sheepish grin on her face and pulled into the empty spot.
The insane thing with them is that, more often than not, they'll spend more time waiting for a spot to open than they would if they just parked 15 or 20 spots out and walked it.

Then they'll go in and hop on a motorized cart. Some people are allergic to peanuts, others to dogs, and a growing number to minimal impact exercise.

This and people who park right in front of the store and have to back out into a bunch of cars to leave. Oh great you save a precious 5 seconds by not having to cross the road but you waste 5 minutes trying to back out with a line of cars behind you.

There are very, very few things in this world that I care less about than the annual hot dog-eating contest.

Fuck ESPN ... that stupid shit will NEVER grace the pages of any sports section I have anything to do with.

Bought a new (to me) 2014 SUV last Saturday. Took it to Walmart on Sunday. Parked next to the gardening stuff, so no cars in front of me. One car spot to my left, but I was on the right end, near the store.

Looked both ways three times, and in my rear-view mirror at least twice. Backed out, only to hear the sickening "thump" of the moron directly behind me backing into my new baby.

The ridiculous thing is, he didn't have backup lights on then, and he didn't when he left, either ... but the insurance adjuster said that makes no difference -- the blame is 50/50.

Hey, let's leave the peanuts people out of this!

With everyone having smartphones, this parking strategy isn't as good anymore. Person gets in their car, makes a call and/or enters where they are going next into their Maps program, and meanwhile the stalker is still blocking traffic in the lane and pissing away time.

And sometimes I am sure the stalkee is doing it on purpose.

I don't understand the peanuts people, but sure, I can leave them be. It's the folks who are a good 10 years younger than me that use the motorized carts. Lazy fucks.

It's one of the most severe allergies. I once ate one tiny oat flake off of a granola bar, and wound up in the emergency room with my throat closing up and difficulty breathing. Turned out that the granola bar had "natural peanut butter" in it, which is apparently more highly concentrated than the processed stuff.

Anaphylactic shock is scary. I've been there a couple of times. Not fun.

Maybe, maybe not. I used to think that until I realized that some of them have really bad medical conditions that aren't visible.
