That's why we stopped at two kids. I'd have loved to have more, but I'm not sure I could physically keep up with four small kids at this point.

I know there are at least two people here who had kids in their late 40s. They both seem well adjusted. :)

Very good friend of mine didn't have his first kid til he was 35. A couple years later, they decided to have one more. 9 months later, his wife gave birth to 3 beautiful healthy baby girls.
4 under the age of 5.

I had twins at the age of 45.
And after they spent three months in the NICU, I was actually 46 by the time we got them home.
Now No. 3 will arrive, on the outside, in about a month.

It'll be three babies - all boys - in a span of about 16 months.

    And I'm 47.

I love my children. I love my wife.
Don't take this the wrong way.
    But I don't recommend it.

What are your feelings on getting snipped?

Oh, believe me, I'm doing it.
This second time, luckily a single, should not have happened.
    Not his fault. My fault.
    It's getting done this time.

Get it done during day 1 of March Madness. That's when I got mine done. Sat around in a pair of boxers with a bag of frozen peas held to my junk, doing nothing but watching basketball and drinking beer for 3 days.

Best friend got his done, then went out and played golf that afternoon.......after about hole 3, his face went sheet-white, started puking and went home.

Again. Be sure to tell her that. Me thinks that after you do give her this information, you won't have to worry about having kids again. EVER.

Timing is tricky. I cannot be out of commission right now. She can't handle two 15-month-old toddlers in her condition. Picking them up and putting them down for baths and changing - it's too much right now. We had a lot of complications last time, so we are extremely cautious this time.
So we've got to get through this delivery, give her time to recover from that and then we can deal with the logistics of me being out of commission for a day.

    1. I should've gotten it done a long time ago, like when we found out we were having twins.
    B. I should've gotten this time around as soon as we found out we were pregnant again.

    I'm a procrastinator.

Also, guy at work got wife knocked up post-snip.
Didn't follow instructions regarding emptying the chamber.

I guess there is a procedure that can be done that will put everything back together, but is extremely painful. My wife sometimes jokes about getting it done, and trying to have another kid.
I immediately punch her in the face.
