Funny, you don't seem bored. You do, however, seem a bit cranky. I'm sorry if my point is too complex for you. Try re-reading it. Pointing out that you shouldn't be insulting my post without bothering to understand it is not an insult. Saying, "That's the stupidest thing I'll read today." is an insult.

I really shouldn't have to explain this stuff to you. You've been around here long enough in your multiple identities to know better.

What is so complicated? I said the language is changing and that can and likely will include the rules of grammar. Somebody else brought up this particular rule and all I did was say that my Linguistics professor in college said that it was foolish and outdated. Personally, I don't give a shit beyond my own enjoyment of making fun of grammar Nazis for wasting their time on such foolishness. It's a fucking message board. Get over yourself already.

One of the dumbest and most insane things I've ever read. You threw out a point that MM and Buck shot down and then your defense of it was that language changes so there. And now you have the audacity to act as if your point was too complicated to be understood. Holy fuck man, get a hold of yourself.

That's because Mark and Buck misread what I posted, as did you. I didn't say it should change. I said it is changing and that can include the rules. Sorry, but y'all need to do a better job of reading.

Or you can keep entertaining everybody by showing your asses.

So the crux of your deep point is, "Things change"?

That's what you have to add, here?

    Some things never change.

    You wouldn't understand.

So, rather than admit that you misread my point, you're going to misrepresent it. That's all you have to add here?

I'm making the point that the English language is still changing despite the fact that many people think of it as a stable thing.

Apparently, neither of you does, which is sad given the simplicity of what I'm posting.

oop, here's the thing: You make what you think is a point. Then, when someone questions it, you take it personally and start getting offended. And you never try to explain it any more clearly. You just repeat it.

Well, saying something repeatedly doesn't make it true. And I have no dog in the personality conflict, but you really don't come off well here.
