    now in several flavors:

KJV Exodus (how I learned it) Bible Gateway passage: Exodus 20 - King James Version

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

    KJV Deuteronomy

21 Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour's.

NIV 17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

So I was a little surprised to see it compressed to this:

    The Ten Commandments | EWTN

    9. THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBOR'S WIFE.

    COMMANDS: purity in thought.

FORBIDS: wilful impure thought and desires.

    10. THOU SHALT NOT COVET THY NEIGHBOR'S GOODS.

COMMANDS: respect for the rights of others.

FORBIDS: the desire to take, to keep, or damage the property of others.

How is climate activism contrary to Christianity? Isn’t it backed by a belief that God’s children should protect His creation?

Isn't "being a good steward" in there somewhere?

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/religion/2023/01/06/christian-nationalism-groups/

“Christian nationalist” once summoned images of fiery extremists — stark racists concerned with keeping immigrants out of the United States, or politicians who argued that the Ten Commandments ought to coexist in law with the Constitution. Then came Jan. 6, and suddenly the term became a culture-war acid test: One member of Congress began selling “Proud Christian Nationalist” T-shirts, while First Baptist Dallas pastor Robert Jeffress said that if opposing abortion, transgender rights and illegal immigration made him a Christian nationalist, “count me in.”

It’s not contrary to true Christianity. It’s only contrary to the bullshit Alma practices on Sunday mornings (and optionally on Wednesday evenings).

do you think climate activism and the teachings of Christ are a 1:1 relationship?
