Wondering when we are going to get summoned to HQ to meet our new bosses.

I always like those opening cocktail parties where everyone stands around in blue blazers munching on soggy shrimp and trading rumors on what is going to happen.

Then bright and early the next day when everyone is bleary eyed and hungover we open with stirring CEO presentation, usually starting with a corny joke and ending with a cliched motivational video.

    Re: Taco John's.

It's still "a whole lotta Mexican," micro. And in more than one state.

Finally, to make everyone drool a li'l bit:

I'm sure you'll be surprised to learn that, in my opinion, "Slap Shot" references are never not awesome. :D

    This was funny:

www.Sportsjournalists.com is ranked #24,205 in United States. It has pages of content like; "Index".

    Wow, really?!?! Sign me up!!

Alas, as dull and charmless as that "info" is, it's also not true; I don't think there actually is an index page here.

I think it's time for the new owners to step up to the plate and let us know what they have in mind.

Vague descriptions of how they're going to make this site better just leads to speculation, fear and loathing. I'd be curious to know what they think they can do to make it better.

Because here's the rub ... most of us think this site and its community -- both present company and those who have left that have ties to it -- is pretty damn good as it is.

Get off my lawn, etc., etc., but I think we're all ears on what these ideas are going to be.
