I'm anticipating something more like a toll charge for every 1,000 posts.

Or perhaps a marketing agreement whereby after hitting a certain post number, you agree to have your car painted in the SportsJournalists.com logo and color scheme and provide mobile advertising. (Saw that on a VW bug the other day advertising Brazilian Wax--I kid you not.)

And then at a higher post number level, you agree to have your house painted with the SportsJournalists.com scheme.

 

Already a nice addition - American Airlines miles for every post if you provide your frequent flyer # . Better yet a point a post for all existing posts.

That, or start doing things that will draw in more traffic, things that would likely suck for the regulars.

 

I dunno if I care. I can't imagine some marketing meeting discussing what dooley_womack1's posting history suggests they try to sell me

 

It's funny though to think that adult business folks are in some meeting room looking at a power point of the top 20 SJ posters and trying to figure out how they can leverage the opportunity.

 

If the model of reality TV works for them, they should love me. Maybe they will ask BYH and I to start fighting again.

Seems like writer disputes play well here and generate a lot of viewing.

 

I'm more than a little concerned that I tried to nuke my regular account several days ago, the interface said the deletion was "awaiting moderator approval," and it still hasn't happened.

*I'm posting from an account I set up many years ago and only used for a very brief period when layoffs at my shop were being discussed and I wanted to speak freely.

 

Apparently you can check out any time you want, but you can never leave....
