Well, I suppose it is a possibility ...

This, along with the dealing with having children, are the two huge x-factors regarding which Nicklaus is safely in the figurative clubhouse.

I thought Tiger's back would get him first, but, still, this is not good news. It will only build from here.

I saw him last year, but I was just sitting in one place, so I saw a lay-up and a two-putt. I was hoping to follow him for two or three holes this year. I did that with Phil last year, and I really have an appreciation for what his playing partner (and from what I saw, Tiger's) has to put up with. Everyone was quiet for Tiger and Phil when they were up, but the gallery was a constant low buzz of motion when their playing partners (especially Tiger's) were taking their shots.

Great, he was dinged up and still whipping everyone.

I guess this Doc Rosenberg is good at what he does.

  5. Did anyone see the Ferguson's story? 27 inches.
A 27 inch story on Woods missing a month due to knee surgery.
I know TW is big business and THE Tour draw, but 27 inches seems like a bit of overkill.

Did anyone run the full 27-inch story in today's paper?

I think that will probably be covered in the "Tiger, a 12-pack of Coors, a razor and a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide" thread.

The rest of the PGA Tour right now conjures the great Pat Healy: "Exceptional, my ass!"

Interesting timing in that six weeks doesn't get him back for the Players.

I bet a lot of places did.

He works for AP. He's supposed to write long. Lay off the guy.

He hit 14 greens Sunday. If he makes 3-5 footers on Nos. 3, 4 and 13, he's in a playoff with Immelman. Having a sore knee didn't make him miss those putts.
