Tiger scolds media in apology

    Loved the point Pierce made in his story the other day about how all this is certainly a story, and you're learning who in the media is in Tiger's pocket by the ones who keep screaming that this isn't a story.

    Tiger's "media" for the past decade, the golf media, treated him perfectly fine. Kid gloves. But when you crash cars and cheat on the spouse, your "media" expands considerably.

    I find it fascinating. A man who has spent a lifetime controlling everything from the number of putts on the putting green before each round to every bland, calculated response is "dismayed" with something he can't control.
    That wasn't so much as an apology as it was a diversion.
    Typical Tiger (and his people). Trying to form the view rather then let people form a view.
