Of course that's why he's keeping quiet. Smart move, too. That would only create even more of a shitstorm in what is already a debacle.

Couple of Tiger's texts to the VH1 skank are in that story. Oy.

If I read one more celebrity or "media relations" person talk about how Tiger has to talk to save his image or let the fans know or get ahead of the rumors, I'm going to take my 9-iron and break out a back window. Troll concerns. If it harms his public image and he's fine with that and decides not to cry on Oprah or go into sex rehab with Dr. Drew, great. But stop demanding he talk about what really happened or his trysts or what it's doing to his endorsement chances by staying silent. Lawrence Fucking Kudlow?

The Daily News had quotes from "media experts" like a guy who counseled Greg Anderson. Yeah, that worked out well. Or a guy who represented Richard Jewell. Way to help Richard with that story, buddy. And advised John and Patsy Ramsay. Yep, damage control stopped the rumors about them, let's listen to the guy who advised them. A PR guy whose clients "include Roger Clemens." Why shouldn't we listen to that guy's PR advice?

The story will follow Tiger forever. But once all the girls have come out of the woodwork it'll be mostly forgotten like every other scandal is these days, although this one will have a slightly longer shelf life than the 48-96 hours that most do.

    Larry Kudlow?

Ooops! Tiger accidentally sent one of the texts to Grady Sizemore:

Without any other evidence to go on, that's all they legitimately have.

If the evidence supported it, the FHP could recommend the charges to the state attorney's office. It'd be the 9th Circuit state attorney's office making that decision.

Twitlock just killed a hobo buffet and doesn't know why.

Great job as usual by Pierce. I had just reread "The Man. Amen" earlier today.

I'm probably going to get villified for this, but that might be why I'm posting it: That was the first time I've ever read anything by Pierce.

I doubt that. Not knowingly at least.

As long as you read Leonard Pitts on a regular basis, you'll get a pass. :)
