Glad he survived. Can't say I'll miss weekly health updates on whether he'll be ready for The Masters.

Anything the treating physician says publicly has to have the patient’s consent.

It does feel a little more transparent than normal for Steiny, but maybe because there is less/no scandal in the air.

Is he that cheap that he’s driving a Hyundai Genesis?

It was a courtesy car from the weekend sponsor.

Even cheaper. Send a car and a driver. Tiger’s driving accuracy hasn’t been what it used to be.

This is understandable since you grew up in an area with several Diagonals. You never know which direction you're going.

Genesis is the high-end brand from Hyundai/Kia. It's legit. The GV80 luxury SUV Tiger was driving has gotten fantastic reviews. Car and Driver named it one of its 10 Best and gave it an Editor's Award.

2021 Genesis GV80 Review, Pricing, and Specs

Fledgling luxury carmaker Genesis has proven that it is quite capable of challenging European and Japanese luxury brands and now it's getting into the premium SUV game with the 2021 GV80. The GV80 takes on the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE-class. Genesis's first SUV is powered by a standard turbocharged four-cylinder or a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine; rear-wheel drive will be standard and all-wheel drive will be optional. We've sampled both engines and have conducted an instrumented test on both the V-6 and the four-cylinder; we can report that the new SUV delivers both agile handling and a serene ride. We were so impressed with the GV80 during our annual 10Best evaluation event, we gave it a spot on the 2021 list and an Editors' Choice award.

Edit: Looks like the GV80 is No. 1 on the list with a 10 out of 10 rating, just ahead of the Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5 and Volvo XC90 (9.5).

My Ford Explorer Sport (like the police Interceptors) has a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6. When it reaches third gear it takes off like a mother. Tiger driving an unfamiliar car might not have been able to control the sudden speed increase. Don't know, just speculating.

By the way, it would have taken him well more than an hour to get to Riviera from RPV, even at 7 a.m. It would have taken him at least a half hour just to get to the 405 on-ramp on Hawthorne Blvd. Then probably another 45 minutes to get to Riviera, regardless of whether he stayed on the 405 to Sunset or took the 10 in Santa Monica and took 26th St. to Allenford to Sunset. The point is, he was going to be really late.

And I interrupt the latest car threadjack to add: CNN interviewing Joe Theisman on Tiger's road to recovery. Where to begin?

First Limbaugh now Tiger. Anyone know if Ted Nugent cleans his guns while they're loaded?

Wasn’t he going to Rolling Hills, not Riviera?
