I remember reading an AP story on that many, many years ago. Between the two different time zones, the state not observing daylight savings time but some border counties still following it, and a few other quirks, there were something like 10 different time zones in the state.
Have they finally sorted it all out, or is it still like that?

The only weird thing was that if you had cable, you picked up the Pacific time zone feed, so you had to adjust your timing for shows that were on networks like Comedy Central, etc. For a good week, you had no idea when South Park was on. Or if you were calling your family back in the DC area, you forgot it was two hours instead of three. But it was quickly figured out.

Indiana went to DST time changes a while ago. Without Googling hard enough to confirm for sure, it looks like 2006.

My main thing was the NFL all of a sudden being on at 10 a.m. That was something new and different. I moved there from the Central Time Zone, too, so a bit of an adjustment.

I moved there from the Eastern Time Zone, so it was a massive adjustment. College football especially. A lot of 9 a.m. games. I didn't watch soccer at that point, so morning sports were not something that I ever watched. There was a sports bar in Flag that used to open for breakfast at 9 on Saturdays for a handful of East Coast fans. It changed the entire dynamic of Sundays. You were kind of done with football by 4:30 or so and still had a Sunday evening to do other things. I kind of miss it, though now as a soccer nut, the 4:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. PL games would be tough.

I had a big day. I cut wood most of the morning and fished all afternoon. I'm beat. It's 5:45 p.m. and dark out.
Serious question: If I haul myself to bed right now like I could honestly do, what time would I wake up, and how long would tomorrow be?

I'd settle for spring forward. As such, less than a month until there is longer daylight.

We haven't even had our first killing frost yet and I'm pining for daylight at 9 p.m.
