Time to celebrate SPORTS CLICHES

This thread works just as hard as the Charlie Brown thread, so why isn't it getting the same coverage? These boys were all excited to come home and see their name on the board, just imagine their disappointment when it wasn't there.

 

Eh, you win some, you lose some.

 

The Charlie Brown thread just wanted it more.

 

"I was just doing what I could for the seniors on this thread. This is their night."

 

The Writers Workshop is a workpail kind of thread. It puts its hardhat on every morning and comes in and works hard. I couldn't ask for a better thread.

 

Meanwhile, down in the losing lockerroom:
"It's heartbreaking. They out-hustled us. They out-muscled us. They out-coached us. We just couldn't get the job done.

"But give them credit, they came out ready to play. We had our chances and we let them slip away."

 

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat reading this.

 

When these cliches meet, you can throw the recordbooks right out the window.

 

Remember, there's no ``I'' in cliche ... wait a minute...

 

Great clichers make great cliches.

 

This thread never got too high or too low.

 

This thread is what it is. You just have to go out there, try to put the fat part on the ball and hope for the best.
