Where are the copy editors to point out that TMQ is properly using "disdain"??

Fuck that anti-semetic prick (not Barry Sanders, mind you).

    I agree with Guy.

Easterbrook attends one of the few churches in the country where Christians and Jews worship together. He stumbled over some stupid language, but he's not anti-semetic.

OK, they didn't and you couldn't with a back like Sanders. But the Falcons also ran the run-and-shoot and passed 90 times more than they ran even with Andre Rison and Michael Haynes.
The Oilers were a different story (A Tecmo SuperBowl story) because even with Lorenzo White in the backfield, you had to throw with that crew

Yet that seems to foreshadow his later point about spread offenses opening up the run. I think he tries to write too much some days, and this may underscore that point.

Remember, the Lions had their 1991 run with Rodney Flippin' Peete as the starter. In a smart move, Fontes already had pushed aside Andre Hollow Heisman Ware.

Actually, it was Erik Kramer as well

You're right, Kramer the scab became the starter later on.

I'm not convinced ESPN.com has any copy editors.

And still no one here understands the meaning of disdain.

    dis·dain (ds-dn)
    tr.v. dis·dained, dis·dain·ing, dis·dains
    1. To regard or treat with haughty contempt; despise. See Synonyms at despise.
    2. To consider or reject as beneath oneself.

It is quite possible to disdain the run, yet still use the run.
