Saw a live hit on MSNBC in the 11th Hour program and no mention of any of this.

Literally 'more media than protestors now, nothing to see here'

Great job, MSNBC. Real deep dive.

Gee, he sure seemed like he was a swell fella.

Serving food at a cookout and all.

Running that flag up the pole gave you away, dude.

She's going to be charged with second degree manslaughter, which is negligently causing the death of someone else.
I said that right from the start, but if I were her, I wouldn't plead. I'd take my chances at trial. I don't think they'll ever get a conviction.
She did in fact create a situation that negligently caused someone else's death, but getting 12 people to not consider what took place in the moments leading up to it won't happen.

Unless they can somehow get a change of venue, which seems like a nonstarter for a case getting worldwide publicity like this, it would be a Hennepin County jury, every single member of which would know just how bad things would get in the case of an acquittal, so I'm a bit more confident of a conviction.

The more immediate issue up here is what the level of outrage will be because the charges weren't higher, even though anything more would be difficult if not impossible to get given Minnesota law.

Even if she got convicted, the punishment wouldn't be worth shit. Maybe she'd spend 12 months in jail. That even seems like an extreme case. That drunk off-duty POS tramp that broke into Botham Jean's house and killed him barely got her 10 year sentence because the judge was hugging her and everyone started feeling bad and making excuses.

Start handing up 25-year minimums for these "accidents" and no one would mistake that taser for a gun again.
