Watching the Chiefs tonight was like watching this play on a loop for four hours:

Dream scenario for Goodell. Hardly anyone there to boo him.

Not with that game plan. Nobody could have. Reid and the Chiefs never did change the way they were doing things.

Yes. Why is this such a ridiculous take?
Tampa Bay's offense played well, but its incredible defensive performance was why they won. The way they absolutely shoved it up the ass of perhaps the league's best offense and the defending champs, and Mahomes scrambling around for his life on every play is what people will remember most from this game. Other than win, they're not going to remember anything special that Brady did. It's kind of like his first Super Bowl in that regard.
Brady will probably get it, and that's fine. He's not undeserving. But if there is someone from the defense they can point to as a representative of how this game went, it would be much more fitting.

I think we can all be happy for one quarterback who got the monkey off his back, who they said would never amount to anything, much less win the big game.
Congratulations to Super Bowl champion Blaine Gabbert.

Maybe the Chiefs can try to develop some semblance of a running game.

Never been an Andy Reid staple. But was it because Reid has never made a priority or because that line wouldn't give the backs - or even a Barry Sanders fresh out of retirement - much of a chance?
