I did the same thing on Pitfall.

The frigate in Sid Meier's Pirates! was pretty sweet.

 

I think I got 2 games combined. I swing-swang-swung in Jungle Hunt, and jumped crocks in Pitfall. I loved Pitfall. That's the one where you could go down ladders underground, right?

 

Along the same lines, the flamethrower in Car Wars ...

 

Yes, crocs and underground tunnels were in Pitfall. But so were vines to swing over the crocs. I think Pitfall was just a rip off of Jungle Hunt for the Atari 2600.

Yep and if you played it long enough, you could memorize where you went underground and come up right next to a silver bar or gold bar.

 

Yes! The gold and silver bars. Great flashbacks happening now.

 

And you always move right to left, instead of left to right.

That way if you happened to fall in the croc pit or something, your guy falls down on the left, thus allowing you to skip that obstacle.

 

Just like reading the Torah.
