    I would hope he's more of a professional than that and respects the vote he's got. But then, he does wear Ball State gear head to toe at times at Allen Fieldhouse while on assignment so ...

    I'm just glad he kept Boise State in the top 25 despite their last-second win. There's no way Auburn should sniff the top 15, much less the top 10.

    At this point I'm convinced USC goes to the title game if they win out. They look so much better than any other one-loss team at this point.

    Of course there is the nightmare scenario, where Notre Dame wins out and back their way in. A month of hype over Charlie Weis's gunt. I can hardly wait.

    I will defend the SEC come hell or high water.

    But I won't defend putting Auburn at No. 10.

    Or Texas at No. 7.

    Those are simply not elite teams. They're good. But nothing more.

    How many years now have people waited for Cal to beat USC? I just can't see it happening. It could, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
