Thanks for the reminder on this show. Just finished Season One and really enjoyed it. BTW ... the actor who plays the Finnish rep of the German company always plays assholes, most recently as the rapist's dad in "Beartown".

Sometimes you forget just how good a show was, because it was a while back. I was on a youtube dive and ran up on these.

It's been a few years since I saw an episode, but it certainly holds up.

The first year and part of the second, with Caruso as Det. John Kelly, are as good as network TV gets.

I wonder if he ever kicks himself for bailing on it.

How could he? There was that great movie career that took off as soon as he left! Oh, wait. That didn't happen. At least he eventually found his way to CSI: Miami.

He's not the first to let his ego screw up his career.

What always surprises me isn't that actors like Caruso, Shelly Long, Farrah ditch breakout TV careers for "the movies" - but what "movies" they ditch their careers for "Kiss of Death?" "Jade?" "Irreconcilable Differences?" "Troop Beverly Hills?" "Sunburn" - you would think they would have kicked ass in a major hit made during the summer hiatus before ditching a solid TV gig.

His agent needed to tell him he didn’t have leading man looks. He was lucky to be lead dog on NYPD.
