The thing about Justified - I almost think it was about the character actors, the Dewey Crows and Boyd Crowders of that world that made that show sing. Shoot, Mags Bennett? Limehouse? That's a show I wouldn't mind having my memory of it wiped so I could watch it again "fresh."

I loved every single character on that show. Art Mullins? Tim? Arlo? I mean, the list is endless. But I think Raylen is the glue that holds it together and Timothy Oliphant is brilliant in the role. Big shout out to the writers who kept the Elmore Leonard vibe firmly in place throughout.

Page 5 and nobody has brought up Friday Night Lights? Nobody has announced it - it isn't like there isn't a lot of good television out there - there just isn't the plethora of GREAT television out there like there was between '99 and 2012 or so. Shows that make me watch lesser shows starring the same actors, just out of gratitude.
Oh - and if anyone hasn't seen Bloodline and Ben Mendelsohn's turn as Danny Rayburn, ugh - so good. The same creators did Damages, another terrific show.

For that, The Wire and Justified, I almost view them so strongly as ensemble shows that it's hard for me to pick out a stellar actor that would make my top five. It's a Warriors-with-Durant "problem," in that it's not really a problem, unless you're doing a kind of stupid exercise like this. :)

First time I came across JK Simmons was as Skoda the L&O shrink. Loved that guy. Thought of it because I'm watching The Good Fight and Season 4 ep. 1 features both Carolyn McCormick (Olivet) and Kathryn Erbe (Eames - L&O Criminal Intent) WORLDS COLLIDE!!!!

Do we need Inspector Luger to come down there and break some heads?

My wife and I watched a couple of episodes and she bailed. I keep meaning to get back to it.
