  1. I agree. I wasn't complaining, just odd that I hadn't noticed before.

    And yes, she is stunning.

    Solid start.
I knew after one episode last season that Richard was the guy to beat. The year before, Hung was obviously a top contender. This year, I have no idea.

  3. I say Stefan, unless someone stabs him.

    zomg. funny.

Can't believe Team Rainbow is already down to two. Also interesting that the two who knew each other are both gone. :(

Early favorites are big gay guy and the one chick who looks like a former coworker of mine (I know that helps so much) ... Richard and Leah.

Also, did you see the eye roll on the lucky-to-still-be-there chick when Patrick started to say "thanks"? Ugh. Next week, evil girl...it's you.

I knew the military wife would lose the Quickfire when they kept showing her clips over and over. Classic Bravo reality show edit.

I hate the entire cast, I think.

But, no faux hawks. So, that's something.

I'm pretty shocked they'd kick out Lauren and Francis from Malcolm In The Middle Patrick this early. The friendship thing would have been good for a few episodes, and she DID say she didn't want her life to be on hold while her husband's away. Does she turn him straight? Does he turn her lesbian? Double switch? I'm not a big fan of forced drama in my Top Chef, but I could have lived with them hanging around a bit. And Lauren's pretty damned hot.

  8. Lauren hot?

    I'm not seeing that.

I thought the girl who undercooked the faro was out of there....looks like next week she has a nervous breakdown.
And I thought Tom was going to swallow his tongue when she told him that she "reads books" vs. actually going to places and experiencing different kinds of food. I was surprised to hear of a chef who wasn't familiar with middle eastern cuisine.

I don't how you guys can remember everyone's name already!

Hard to eat mashed potatoes and such that way, though.

Padma just doesn't seem like a nice person. Stunning, but snooty and sort of humorless. Last night was the first time I've ever seen her genuinely happy, when the tattooed hispanic guy nailed the Indian dish.

I'm always just blown away by the dishes these chefs can create from nothing. What an art.

Stefan is the guy to beat. Preview looks like he gets immunity next week again.

Agree that Stefan is the one to beat. He has an ego, and I bet he gets in some of their heads.

The 'reads books' girl won't last. I thought she should've been tossed last night.

Was that Rocco in the previews?
