    Damn....I'm probably deluding myself here, but I'm hoping that the doctors are stressing the worst-case scenario here.

    I can't stop looking at the pictures on my desk of my own 5-year-old.

    I'm still praying for a miracle. And if there can't be a miracle, I'm praying for peace, and that William feels no pain.

    I too, really want to see a miracle about now. Please God, all the good people are asking on behalf of another good person and a good family. Please.

    Having raised two boys, I know how easy it is for these things to happen. Five-year-olds are curious, active and parents can't watch them every second, no matter how hard they try. Kleeda has my deepest concern and I'm sending prayers up right now.

    Let me tell you, though, don't give up. My wife is an ICU nurse and a few years ago she had a 3-year-old who was severely brain damaged after a bad car wreck. They said this boy would be in a vegetative state the rest of his life, but he not only woke up, he regained almost all of his brain function and he walked out of that hospital.

    So, miracles do happen.
