Because he knew he'd be paid better at OSU.

Lack of blue font is intentional.

Maybe because he would not have been a high pick. Speed alone does not make a quarterback.

Isn't the Ohio State track pretty much known for bullshit 40 times? In fact, other than the combine, all 40 times are bullshit.

I do not know if the track is bullshit or what...all I know is that I have seen a ton of fast college football players, and that Pryor is the fastest I have seen up close in pads. Before Pryor the fastest I had ever seen was Qadry Ismail, by the way. Watch for Kenny Guyton, one of Pryor's back-ups, at Ohio State as well. He can flat-out fly. I have no idea why Ohio State did not play to Pryor's strengths. I am surprised he did not leave after the second year when it became clear he was hurting his national reputation in the Buckeyes' limited offense. He should have done what Troy Aikman did...when Aikman saw he was not going to be able to successfully run the bone at Oklahoma he got outta there.

This is completely off-topic but I was wondering if anyone knew if Ryan Perriloux was playing anywhere this season.

Pryor wouldn't have made a list of fastest players in NCAA football last year, forget about comparing him to the fastest college players ever.

First, there is no way he runs a legit 4.33. No way. That would have made him the second-fastest player at the combine last year, faster than 99 percent of the WRs and CBs. That number came from the OSU staff and it happened in private. No one believes it.

He is right around 4.4, maybe a touch under.

Secondly, there were at least 20 WRs and CBs who played last year who would have beaten him in a foot race, as well as a couple of RBs. And at the QB, there is no way he is faster than Denard Robinson. Robinson can run a 10.3 100 meters and has been timed in public in a 40 right around 4.3.

What part of IN PADS do you not understand? Sure, Robinson is a track guy. But we are not talking about track. Do you understand the concept of football speed? If not shoot me a PM and I can explain it to you. Let me guess, football speed is a misnomer, right? Anyway...

He was with Hartford in the UFL last season. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Giants in January.

Thanks. Talk about a waste of pure talent. Surprised he has not went the CFL route. That kid is an amazing "what could have been" story.

Brandon Saine runs a 4.1 forty in the opposite direction of contact.

The only person who can catch Brandon Saine from behind would be ... yes ... Brandon Saine.

And he can pitch better than Cole Hamels, too.

And he doesn't do a push-up, he pushes the earth away from himself.
