    But sometimes it is.

    Our company's "product" peak, IMO, was 1997-98.

    Also a time that saw the share price rise 37%.

    I don't agree. I think the Tribune was sucking hard as a product by the late '80s.

    Turn that share price and golden reveune stream into product advancement.
    None of that happened.

    Of course not. Shareholders demanded even better share prices the next year. Not one of them said, "We need to invest to make a better product!"
