Nope. Read the headline again: Exclusive: Trump's 3,500 lawsuits unprecedented for a presidential nominee

The headline is accurate. They're not saying in the headline that he had 3,500 lawsuits against him. They're saying that he was involved in 3,500 lawsuits, which is unprecedented for a presidential nominee. Unless there is a nominee out there who had that number or more, then it is the truth, that he was involved in 3,500 lawsuits.

Read the second graf of the story:

"An exclusive USA TODAY analysis of legal filings across the United States finds that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee and his businesses have been involved in at least 3,500 legal actions in federal and state courts during the past three decades. "

They're not saying that he's the defendant in 3,500 legal actions. They're saying he's involved.

Read the stats. He's the plaintiff in 1,900 actions, defendant in 1,450, and another 150 is miscellaneous.

But let's apply some of your other logic: He's plaintiff in 1,900 actions over 30 years. That's 60+ a year. Sounds like he doesn't have very good judgment in finding reliable people if he has to keep suing them.

It requires reading beyond the headline, which I know you have a problem with sometimes.

    They're not Trump's numbers.

They're USA Today's numbers, based on an analysis of legal findings across the country, spanning three decades:

An exclusive USA TODAY analysis of legal filings across the United States finds that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee and his businesses have been involved in at least 3,500 legal actions in federal and state courts during the past three decades. They range from skirmishes with casino patrons to million-dollar real estate suits to personal defamation lawsuits.

Jesus Christ Baron. Stoney, Starman, and Inky all threw around the 3,500 number as if it was the number of times he had been sued.

You assumed he'd lost 10% of them, or 350 lawsuits.

All of you were familiar only with the "story", but not the details. You didn't even know where to find it.

So, yes, I understand what USA Today reported. You, Stoney, Starman and Inky didn't

No, I had said I hadn't recalled where I had read the story. I read dozens of stories a day. I was going on memory of what Trump had said. Which, my memory was roughly accurate. He had said he had won about 90 percent of his cases, which, by his own numbers, he had. I didn't know how many cases he was referring to of that 90 percent because I hadn't read the USA Today story. I was following Inky's lead.

    Read again, the other posters:

    Here's Inky:

Again, Inky didn't write that it was the number he was sued. He just wrote the number that he was involved in.

    Here's Stoney:

OK, his first sentence quoted reflects his belief that Trump was being sued. He was quoting in response to Starman's quote:

If you believe Starman, well, there's not much else to add. Other than that Trump has lost 38 lawsuits, and settled 175 over 30 years. And by your own logic with Bill Clinton and Paula Jones, settling cases is an admission of guilt. So, he has lost over 200 cases in 30 years, or an average of 6+ per year.

Jefferson was a governor, foreign diplomat, secretary of state and Veep before he was president. How dare he say Hillary is more qualified! I'm outraged!

It's fun watching YF ignore how Trump screwed small businesses so he can push the LIBRUHL MEDIA narrative.

Not necessarily. If someone trips on a garden hose you left on your sidewalk, sues you and wins, I would have a hard time believing you really did anything "wrong." Even though some judge or jury may have ruled that you did.

If you're America, you sue people. It's what you do.
