Just landed in a nation that vote to stay, where the local landowners hate his golf courses, and he decides they are celebrating Brexit. Good grief.

If Scotland moves for independence, which would not be economically good for them but then why should they care about that if the English didn't, Trump's golf resort will become just another one of his bust-out business enterprises. I know most Americans don't care about foreign news unless terrorists kill white people or planes go missing, but the correlation "X happened and the stock market went down, therefore X must be a bad thing" is pretty strong with many voters. Naturally Trump's on the other side. If I were Clinton, I'd be saying "Why does Trump hate your IRA?" today.

I guess the Times will be issuing Trump an apology today.

An American company landed a $25 billion deal? That's outrageous. Trump needs to put an end to this.

    Now, now. Follow along.

Firstly, Trump always argued that if we were going to do this deal with Iran, and hand them back the money that was frozen, it should have been a part of the deal that they be required to buy their new commercial airplanes from Boeing, and not Airbus.

For that, Trump was mocked. The Times actually "corrected" him, telling him that it was illegal for Boeing to sell planes to Iran.

The media was thrilled with this little bit of gotcha! It showed how uninformed Trump was.

Now, no laws have been changed, Boeing and Iran are doing a big deal, and the State Department says this is fine. They're encouraging it. Boeing says it's all legal.

So, will the Times correct themselves?

Secondly, we had a former top State Department official advocating for the bill, including testifying before Congress, and writing op-eds for publications like the Washington Post, who didn't disclose that he was a paid consultant for Boeing.

    This is ok?

Shouldn't he have told the WaPo, and it's readers, about this financial relationship? Shouldn't the WaPo have asked?

Will the WaPo apologize to its readers for this?

Thirdly, if this was a reason for doing the deal, shouldn't that have been clearly stated during the process?
