LOL. I knew you'd never heard of him.

Do you follow this stuff at all:

Mr. Obama made use of that power when he was in the Senate. He was one of several senators in 2007 to put a hold on Hans A. von Spakovsky, whom Mr. Bush nominated to serve on the Federal Election Commission.

And, according to news reports, Mr. Obama in late 2005 also put a hold on all Environmental Protection Agency nominees. Mr. Obama said he was trying to force the EPA to move more quickly to issue rules on lead-paint exposure.

I don't, because it's the rules the Senate operate under.

I wish they'd change the rules.

But, ask even the party in power -- currently the Republicans -- if they should change the rules on things like filibusters, so they can get things done, and almost to a man, they say no.

Harry Reid doesn't want to change the rules either.

These guys like the system they've created.

Yep, it's OK. Not a damned thing wrong with it.
Don't you ever take that tone with me again.
What the fuck it your problem?
How the fuck do you know what I knew or didn't know about Tom Cotton?
    You're not a fucking professor.
    This is not a class.
    Academic rigor is not required.
"They do it too" is not a legitimnate defense.
Now knock that shit off and concede the argument.

@Starman's been a failure his whole fucking life.

Smartest guy he knows, but only got his foot in the door on journalism because mommy and daddy set him up.

So smart, but the man is always getting over on him.

Such a tough guy, he sees closet queers around every corner.

Of course he hates Tom Cotton. He's a success.

@Starman's not fit to carry Tom Cotton's but plug.

Small, you're out of your league. You should read what YF posted. Senate leaders don't want to change the rules if they know the change can be used against them. Heck, cloture only came about in 1917.

If he can find something that's not the Washington Times...

Concede what? That Tom Cotton is the worst person on the planet?

Get over yourself. Your understanding of politics is dwarfed by your knowledge of cars.

You don't get it. You don't think things through. You have "feelings". It's absurd.

@Smallpotatoes, I got your internet tough guy message the first time.

No reason to send me the same PM, with different subjects, twice.

You seem like a nice enough guy, but you're obviously naïve. That's ok too, as long as you don't want to be laughed at when you make infantile arguments, that demonstrate a lack of historical context.

Well, try coming up with a better defense than "They do it too."
