If the campaign didn't have a history of missteps and lazy mistakes, that might be believable. But given the way it has been run - RTing white supremacists, the TP logo that was universally mocked, etc. - then I think it's safer to chalk it up as yet another error.

You've never seen anything like it. They're going to be so good. So good it'll make your head spin. That's how good they'll be.

Gotta be false because the *real* Trump would have said "my numbers would be uuuge. They would be so uuuge they'd make your head spin. Let me tell you, we'd have all the best numbers."

The Trump campaign is a reflection of one of the most distressing aspects of modern society: Our acceptance of "good enough." We don't demand quality anymore, especially if it costs us more money. Whatever it takes to get the product out, and cover any weakness with a slogan of some sort. "Well, at least the Trump campaign isn't wasting its money on graphic designers - that proves to me he's focused on what's actually important, and that's Making America Great Again." "They don't need to be wasting time vetting speeches -- they need to focus on Making America Great Again." This attitude permeates business, permeates culture, permeates everything -- the belief that attention to detail is somehow a waste of time and resources. As long as we get our Everyday Low Prices, we as a society are OK with whatever comes of that. Trump is a living, breathing, bloviating Everyday Low Price. (Where Clinton is a bad example of another uniquely American creation, "Brand Loyalty.")

Kind of amazing watching the alt-right freak out about "First Amendment rights!" after a troll was banned from Twitter.
