He is being bitten in the ass by his complete and utter ignorance of even the surface details of virtually any issue important to the office he is seeking.

Really well said. The Republicans have forgotten that they
    are the party of Lincoln.

He's not being bit that hard - he's leading the race right now. He has convinced people that his ignorance is a ploy.

Exactly. Trump thought that he was smarter than the WAPO editors and could win the day in a meeting with them. You are just not going to outsmart brilliant people like Jonathan Capehart

He better hope he never runs up against Charles Pierce. I hear that guy's even brilliant-er.

The Clinton's really are wonderful giving folks. Just look what they have done around the world with The Clinton Foundation. Do you think The Bush Family would have gotten involved with Bill if they did not trust him.

A few years ago Capehart got into it with Chris Christie on Morning Joe regarding equality.
It's rare you see Christie back down but Capehart brought him to his knees and rode him like a rented mule.

Nominal lead from convention bounce. Actual models still have him losing

This isn't new, though. It's not really that much different than a few years ago when they got VERY upset over the killing of the most-wanted terrorist in the world and the man responsible for killing 3,000 Americans on 9/11.

You know, a man we tore apart multiple countries looking for, over more than a decade.

Sure. But I'm not convinced that his ignorance has been a negative, overall. He's performing pretty well, considering. It seems like some percentage of people buy the "I'm playing it close to the vest" act. They like that he doesn't lard things up with details. Simple messaging: China is bad. They take all our money. That's enough for them. More, and you're just taking your eye off the ball.
