Models are exploited all the time. Literally every single day in New York City, they are forced to trade sex acts and degrade themselves for work. It's a huge problem in the industry, and there are hundreds of stories about how models felt pressured or taken advantage of before they got real representation.

Melania was not a particularly successful model, despite Trump's constant boasts. Do you really think she had great reputation and council when she came over from Slovenia as a teenager?

 

What's weird/funny is that the Post is one of the very few papers likely to endorse Trump. And now that I think about it, it isn't completely impossible that his campaign fed those photos to the paper, whether hoping to gain sympathy or just throwing a bone to the un-PC titty aficionados in his base. Any other year and any other candidate, I'd dismiss that in a second as too outlandish, but ...

 

Oh, and when my uncle was selling timeshares at a Podunk resort outside Birmingham in the mid-80s, I thought he was the man because he'd gotten to play golf with Cliff Stoudt AND Joe Cribbs.

 

Or maybe they saw the Khan fiasco blowing up on them and figured they needed a "big distraction."

I have no idea if she was pressured, exploited or forced to trade sex acts or degrade herself for work, and neither do you. Is it possible she was exploited? Sure. But there's nothing in the public record that would lead me to believe that is the case.

It's frankly absurd to assume any of those things without some kind of indication that they may have happened. If you have seen allegations she's made supporting such a statement, I'm all ears. But as far as I know, she's never made such a claim. And, considering she was appearing on the covers of major American magazines at age 30, I say again that this is not a woman who is ashamed of her body.

I think it's a bit patronizing to assume that a 26-year-0ld woman is incapable of making her own decisions about how she is photographed and she must have been exploited when she posed nude.

 

In Pittsburgh, which is where Cuban was from and where he was speaking, it's a common phrase and not obscene. He was tailoring his message for a hometown crowd.
