Anecdotal, but my wife's grandmother, who is as close to a personification of the Christian Right as you will find, posts pro-Trump articles on Facebook just about weekly. At first it seemed like she was talking herself into him, but she's all in now.

 

A decent chunk of the Baby Boomer Christian Right will pull the lever for him. Love? No.

I think under 40 Christian conservatives generally push against Trump.

The "love wins" crowd of christians are moving hard left.

 

Could have been paid off. Maybe he was rebuffed by her. Could be an asshole. Many, many reasons he would have lied.

A Bernie Sanders supporter who is also a Christian

 

I have a 19/20 YO girl on Facebook who was in the youth group I volunteered at and is currently attending a Christian University. She was actively expressing opposition to a proposed law that would have eliminated exemptions for faith based schools to with regard to gay students. But she was also a Bernie supporter.

Mind you she is also the literal embodiment of the Anoying Facebook Girl meme.

 

Oh, my assessment of the situation was correct. Every American was safe, and it isn't in the best interests of the federal government for one of its representative giving their reports of an attempted coup-in-progress on a message board.
