Seriously, this was in the news at the time.

 

The invasion created the terrorist state in Iraq. The withdrawal is something Bush agreed to before he left office, something the American people overwhelmingly wanted and demanded (and thought at the time was long overdue), and something that was gonna happen regardless of who our post-08 president was.

It takes a shitload of shameless gall for anyone who ever supported Bush's dumbassed illegal war to be blaming Obama for Iraq.

 

More or less gall for trying to blame Obama for getting us into Afghanistan?

 

We didn't want to be there anymore and the Iraqis didn't want us there.

 

But, but they were going to greet us as liberators! With flowers and candy!

 

You mean honoring the Status of Forces agreement that Bush signed? The one that obligated us to withdraw all of our troops by 2011? Given that one of the campaign planks that Obama ran on was getting us out of Iraq, you'd be hanging every American troop death since then around Obama's neck and calling Iraq "Obama's war".
