I think it did. A couple of years later, California Republicans recalled Dem. Gov. Gray Davis for less clear reasons than Clinton was impeached. While it got Davis out, it also got them Ahrnold as governor. Nice for appearances with Leno and celebrity cocktail parties, but I don't remember a lot of great legislation. And the state remains Democratic.

If you stopped looking for excuses to drag political bullshit onto other threads, it would actually be true.

Saying I don't care for something is not bent out of shape. I don't care for piling on no matter who is being piled upon.

I think it's a stretch to connect the Clinton impeachment to the Davis recall.
They were five years apart. One had to due with perjury and obstruction of justice; the other had to do with the California power crisis.
Although Davis was the first governor recalled in the state, it was attempted four previous times, against Republicans and Democrats.

I was no Davis fan, but I don't think he deserved to be recalled for the terrible regulatory changes that eventually resulted in the power crisis.
I'm not saying he didn't mishandle and bear some culpability, but that was not a crisis of his making alone.

You forgot the subject of his perjured answers. It's OK, you can say it.

Where does it say perjury is not perjury if it relates to sex?
